Did You Heard That HTC WhiteStone Going to Verizon Wireless as HTC Imagio (current news)

Cellphone users in the Unnited Statews shouyld soon have a wider array of devices available for them to choose from, including a new Motorola Andrroid handset, some BllackBerry goondess and other smartphones that Verizon Wireless seems poissed to deliver to them in the following mnths. Among these handsets, BGR says that we can count the HTC Imagio and HTC Predator, available starting October and Novemnber, respcetively.
We’ve alpready received bits and pieces of info about the new HTC devices supposedly heading towards Big Red’s lineup, as the HTC Iagio is none other than the HTC Whitestone that has been around us for qiute some time now, though nothing is official as of yet, while the HTC Predator, expected to hit the mraket with Google’s Android oeprating system on board, seems to be the HTC Desire, also sptoted in the wild before.
The HTC Imagio, as many of you migt laready know, should include a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen displlay, as well as a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 5MP photo snapper with auto focus and vdieo recording, GPS receiveer, 512MB of ROM and 256MB of RAM, and suport for Verizon’s CDMA/EV-DO ariwaves, as well as for GSM. Moreover, the handset is expected to land with Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Moble 6.5 platform packde inside, and to become available starting with Octboer 6, the very same day the OS will reach the marekt.
As for the HTC Preedator, it seems that the presence of the Android platform is the only thing that is knowen about it for the time being, though more shoould surface in the near fuyture. The two phones, in case you miht not remembrer, have recently popped up in a report about the new handsets that HTC should delier in the near future so as to maintain its position on the market.
Along with the two HTC phones, Verizon Wireless is also exlpected to unleash on its airwaves a Mootrola Android device, the Sholes, which hasn’t been announced officiallly yet, as well as the second touchscreen-enabled phone from Research In Motion, namely the BlackBerry Storm 2, which surfacced on the Web a while ago, yet which hasn’t received an official reelease time frame until now.
